London is one of my favorite cities, and I am so lucky that I was able to live an hour north of all the action for four months. That meant I got to explore the city on a few free weekends and random days. Each time I went into London, I discovered new things and fell even more in love with it.
I came up with a list of my top 10 favorite things to do in London!
1. Walk in Green Park and Hyde Park. Green Park had beautiful gardens with bright colors and it’s near Buckingham Palace so you can pop over and see the Queen while you’re there!
2.Trafalgar Square. Street art, street performers, this square was my favorite place to be!
3.Oxford Street. While you’re in the city you may as well get your shopping fix. Primark anyone?
4.Double Decker bus ride. Some of the tour companies offer a package deal, so you can ride the bus and the boat on the river as well! It’s a great way to learn about the city!
5. Camden Market a great place for souvenirs and other gifts, also the food at Camden Market is pretty tasty! Open 10a-7pm
6. Eat at Pommelers Rest. My favorite pub to grab fish and chips! They have this great deal where you get the meal AND the drink for super cheap. I think I ate there at least 5 times before coming back to the states.
7.The London Eye A lot of people say this is “overrated” but the eye is actually really cool. I did go on it, and I had a lot of fun!
8.China Town. China town is one cool place in London. The bubble waffles are there, and so are many other great places to grab a bite or a drink!
9.St Pauls Cathedral. One of the prettiest Cathedrals in England, there is so much history inside.
10. Picadilly Circus. Right now, until Fall 2017, the lights at Picadilly are turned off. But when they’re on the square is a lot of fun. Even when the lights are off there are so many shops to visit and street performers to see!
What are your favorite things about London? I’m already saving for a trip back there someday!
